David McCullough And An All-Star Cast Share a Poem to Support Mass Poetry

December 7th 2015, BU’s Huntington Theatre, 7pm

Join Massachusetts’ Brightest Leaders As They Share the Stage at Mass Poetry’s Annual Fundraiser

What do a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, a celebrity chef, a digital entrepreneur and a rock-and-roll star have in common? A belief in the transformative power of poetry. On December 7th, a stunning range of Massachusetts leaders will come together at BU’s Huntington Theatre to read a favorite poem and reflect on its connection to their life and work. This remarkable evening is a fundraiser for Mass Poetry’s many programs, including Student Days of Poetry, which brings poetry to thousands of public school students every year, mostly in underserved school districts. The evening celebrates the importance of poetry to people from all walks of life and highlights the crucial role poetry plays in inspiring compassionate, imaginative, powerful leaders. This event is co-sponsored by the Favorite Poem Project, founded by Robert Pinsky, former US Poet Laureate.
